Meredith Jones (Year 11) competed for Scots in the Victorian Marathon Kayaking Championships, which were held on the Barwon River in Geelong on the weekend of 5th-6th September.

DAV Debating Day

Father's Day - A Special Celebration

There was an overwhelming response to the annual Year 6 Father's Day Breakfast which took place (early) on the morning of Friday 4th September in the Dining Hall.

Border Stargaze

On Thursday 20th September the Year 5 and 6 students attended the Border Stargaze which was held at the Wymah Valley Retreat, and participated in a series of activities to acknowledge and celebrate the International Year of Astronomy.

History of the School Fence

At the 1951 Old Grammarians Dinner the Hon. Secretary Mr H.J. (Did) Simpson announced that the Old Grammarians Association's project for the next year would be the provision of tennis courts for the School. These are the courts which are now located in front of the Primary School.  In the same speech he also announced that the Association was undertaking to replace the old iron fence along Young Street with a five foot high cyclone fence.
