Kindergarten Classroom Teacher

Fixed Term Position – full-time – Fixed Term for Term 2 – Term 4 2018

At The Scots School Albury, we place our young people at the centre of their educational experience by providing challenges and opportunities that enable them to flourish as individuals, with others, and within the broader community.

You will thrive on the challenge of engaging young people in their journey of learning and self- discovery. Our dedicated teachers create opportunities for students to wonder, to question and to make connections; and also provide students with the knowledge, skills and attitudes to investigate their own wonderings, to find out, to analyse, to synthesise and to take meaningful action.

We have a vacancy for the remainder of the 2018 teaching year for a Kindergarten Classroom Teacher. Our ideal candidate will be experienced in or have knowledge of International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme, and also be an experience Infants Teacher.

Scots Junior School is a candidate school for the International Baccalaureate Primary Years, Programme (IB PYP). The PYP is a contemporary approach to education that is delivered in schools in Australia and around the world. It focuses on the development of the whole child as an inquirer, both in the classroom and in the world outside.

This Programme ensures that our students are receiving an education that prepares them for success in a rapidly changing global environment. We do this by providing an inspiring, dynamic environment in which students are closely supported to achieve their personal best.

Our Junior School provides opportunities for students to engage in a wide range of experiences. It allows our students to find interests and passions that will shape who they are as human beings. Our students can learn to dance, to play music, to express themselves creatively, to learn another language, to grow vegetables and to create culinary masterpieces, to compete athletically and to perform on stage. Our students are taken out of their comfort zones and supported by the skills and attitudes to flourish.
