Year 9 Final Recital Review

Last Sunday, 1st November, the Year 9 Music Class performed their Final Recital.

Music from the set topics Music of the Baroque Era and Theatre Music were featured by each of the students.

There were a number of impressive efforts from the group, and some nice small ensembles that the students had developed. In particular, I would like to commend Melanie Taylor (voice and trumpet), Matthew Appleyard (piano), Paige Freeman (piano and voice), Monica Crozier (voice and guitar), Clare McGrath (voice) and Malcolm Karutz (guitar) for their efforts.

It was also good to see the whole class performing a combined ensemble with the Minuet from Handel’s “Royal Fireworks Musick”.
