Principal's Comment:

"Scots is the first choice of parents and children who seek an excellent education in a culture where learning and achievement are valued."

It is apparent that involvement in the extracurricular side of school can go hand-in-hand with academic achievement. Sporting and cultural pursuits were high on the agenda of the top achievers in the HSC at Scots.

Once again the school community has the satisfaction of sharing in the success of our senior students in the HSC. High achievement and great depth in the results have allowed students to achieve their goals for further study. I congratulate the students and their dedicated teachers for these outstanding results.

Statistically Scots is in the top group of schools in NSW and is the premier academic school in the region. As a non-selective school we are very proud of these achievements. Whilst statistics are a great advertisement for us, they can never show the full extent of our students' overall achievements and all the benefits of a Scots education.

Our academic strengths are broad. Humanities, Sciences and the Arts all enjoyed prominent and widespread success.

W. J. HOWLETT
Principal

"A healthy balance between school, social life and extra curricular activities, combined with setting goals, allows students to make the most of their time at Scots."
