2006 HSC results
HSC CLASS OF 2006 OVERVIEW
Congratulations to the students of the Class of 2006 for their outstanding achievements in their Higher School Certificate and their UAI. Eighty-four students completed their HSC in 2006, with a further five students completing at least 2 units of study as part of acceleration or pathway programmes.
The school community acknowledges the exceptional effort made by these students as well as the support and commitment made by family, friends and the staff of the school in supporting and facilitating students to achieve their goals.
Summary
- 90% of results in 2 Unit subjects were greater than 70.
- 73% of results were greater than 35/50 in Extension Subjects.
- 31 students scored at least one result in Band 6 (>90) or Band E4 (>45)
placing them in the Distinguished Achievers List in 23 subjects. - 69 results greater than 90, 5 in English and 11 in Maths
- #Ranked =67 in top 200 schools in NSW
- #In Albury Region ranked 1st 467 exams, 69 Distinguished Achievers

HIGHLIGHTS
- Matthew Jiang was awarded Dux of the School and winner of The Scots School Medal for highest UAI - 99.60
- Three students achieved the All Rounders Award - achieving Band 6 or equivalent in at least 10 units
Congratulations to Matthew Jiang, Claire Millar and Nicola Rodd - Claire Millar achieved 13th place in the State in English Advanced
- Netane Siuhengalu was nominated for the NSW DesignTECH exhibition
- Four students attained Band 6 or Band E4 in at least 4 subjects.
Congratulations to Stephanie Cameron, Charlotte Landy, Emma Lingham and Samantha Newton. - The highest subject result was scored by Nicola Rodd with 98 in Ancient History
- 97 was scored by Rebecca Li in Music 1 and Claire Millar in English Advanced.
2006 ALL ROUNDERS
- Dux of the School, Matthew Jiang
(Chemistry, Economics, Mathematics Extensions 1 and 2, Physics). Matthew Jiang balanced his role as School Prefect, his involvement in football, his musicianship and his academic interests as shown by his numerous awards over the years. - Claire Millar (Drama, English Advanced and Extension 1, Modern History, Music 1 and Italian). Claire Millar, found time for the Concert Band, choirs, the flute ensemble, netball coaching and major roles in the performing arts.
- Nicola Rodd (Ancient History, Chemistry, English Advanced, Mathematics and Physics). Nicola Rodd has over the years won many academic awards but has always been involved in Orchestra, Concert Band, Choir, stage productions, hockey and being the school swimming champion.
In addition Stephanie Cameron, Charlotte Landy, Emma Lingham and Samantha Newton each performed exceptionally gaining four Band 6 results
