After School Care
The Scots Primary School provides After School Care (ASC) on campus at the Stephens Centre at the conclusion of each school day.
After School Care commences at 3.10pm and concludes at 5.30pm
Parents have the option of making permanent bookings on the days required for their child/children or can book on a needs basis. Bookings are made through the Primary School office and charges are billed to school accounts.
ASC activities focus upon stimulating child development, the provision of social and recreational activities for children of school age, and provides opportunities to complete homework tasks in a quiet area. All students receive afternoon tea and enjoy a range of supervised activities.
Two staff members are on duty at all times. Mrs Sally Tyrell is the Director whilst Nerida Millward is the Friday Co-ordinator. Senior secondary students are employed as assistants.
Gap Care
During the first fortnight of the school year students in Kindergarten conclude school at 1.15pm.
Those children unable to be collected at this time can access GAP Care at the Stephens Centre until 3.10pm, before either being collected or continuing on with the After School Care program at the Centre.
Special Events Care
Supervised care is available for a nominal fee during special occasions or meetings held throughout the school year. This service is provided for parents who wish to attend these events but are unable to arrange alternative care for their children.
Events such as Speech Day and Parent Group meetings are examples of when this care is available.
Payment for all types of care provided by the school is charged to school accounts.
It is our intention to maintain all charges below standard ASC fees.
