A Day in the Life of Scots Primary

The mornings bring a sea of eager, smiling faces, welcoming friends to a new day of discovery.

A quick game of handball or tennis, a catch up on the previous evenings activities, rehearsals for Orchestra, Choir or Pipe Band, engage the students prior to the first bell.

Students congregate weekly for the Primary Assembly or Chapel which provides opportunities for the school community to gather together to celebrate, rejoice, sing, laugh, listen, and applaud.

In the warmer months, the thud of balls being struck echo’s across the adjacent playing fields, whilst the splash of water from swimmers practising strokes or life saving techniques, may be heard from the school pool during PE and Sports lessons.

Visual Arts and Design & Technology invoke creative skills that encourage artistic pursuits, whilst delicious aromas emanate across the primary forecourts from the food technology kitchen, courtesy of the Year 6 Food Technicians.

Personal development and social awareness are explored during Health, whilst the rhythmical language of Japanese or the enjoyable timbre of French resonates from young voices in the classrooms.

Musicians abound in all year levels as students from Years 1 to 4 learn the violin as part of the curriculum, and Year 5 & 6 students learn to play a wind, brass, string or percussion instrument during their orchestral band program.

Through all of these activities there is a strong connection to learning.  Scots is a school where individual learning styles and strengths are embraced and enhanced.  At Scots, our students are actively encouraged to grow and to succeed at a personal best level, in an accepting and stimulating environment.

Scots Primary, a great place to learn and belong!
