Boarder Parent Group
The Boarder Parent Group (BPG) provides a forum for parents to represent the needs and interests of boarders and their families.
The Boarder Parent Group provides a forum where parents and staff meet to discuss matters of mutual interest. Our meetings provide an opportunity for parents to have input into the development of policies and procedures relating to boarding.
An important role of the Boarder Parent Group is to provide a parent support network – to welcome new parents, and to encourage them to meet other boarding families.
The Boarder Parent Group is an advocate for the needs of boarding students and families in School activities. In the past the Boarder Parent Group has held annual strategic planning days, which have been very successful in setting the priorities for the year.
The Boarder Parent Group generally meets once a term, with a working bee organised once per year. All meetings are preceded by lunch in the Dining Room.
The days and meeting times for the BPG are determined at the beginning of the year, and every effort is made to link the meeting dates to other functions or activities in the School Calendar, so parents have the opportunity to attend more than one event per trip.
