Educational Psychologist

The Scots School Albury has a vacancy for a suitably qualified and experienced educational psychologist to join our Wellbeing team to provide support for two days a week, to students from K -Year 12. The successful applicant will support students in a variety of ways with a common goal of working towards improving student performance, increasing student self-belief and student agency in all aspects of their lives. The Developmental and Educational Psychologist will be required to:

·         identify and clarify learning and behavioural challenges presenting in students

·         respond to student needs through the provision of short-term counselling

·         design effective treatment and intervention programs

·         work with the Wellbeing Team, classroom teacher and parents or external professionals in implementing the intervention programs

·         design training and offer professional development to teachers and staff on student development

·         evaluate programs and interventions

All applicants must be eligible to work in Australia, and successful applicants must gain a NSW working with children check before they commence employment. Your application will be treated with utmost respect and confidentiality and will be managed in accordance with the School’s Privacy Management Plan and standard recruitment processes. Your details will only be available to members of our Human Resources team and the Academic and Professional staff within the relevant area assessing your application.
