Performing Arts
At Scots, Performing Arts is an integral part of our school culture, offering students of all ages the opportunity to explore Music, Drama and Dance in a vibrant, inclusive and supportive environment. Clear pathways through Junior and Senior School ensure that every student experiences the learning and joy that come with participation in the Performing Arts. Whether stepping onto the stage for the first time or preparing for an advanced performance, every student is encouraged to grow in confidence, creativity and collaboration.
Music Ensembles
Scots ensembles perform regularly at school concerts, the annual Music Festival, the Albury Wodonga Eisteddfod and a range of community events.
Choirs:
• Infants Choir – Year K–2, all students
• Junior Choir – Years 3–6, open
• Senior Choir – Years 7–10, open
• Cantabile – Years 5–9, auditioned
• Chorale – Years 10–12, unbroken voices, auditioned
• Barbershop – quartet for broken voices, auditioned
• Adelines – quartet for unbroken voices, auditioned
Instrumental Ensembles:
• Junior Orchestra – Years 3–6, open
• Senior Orchestra – Years 7–12, open
• Rock Band – Years 7–8, open
• Hazelwood – chamber music ensemble, auditioned
• Jazzgang – jazz ensemble, auditioned
• Pit Band – live orchestra for the Senior Production, auditioned

• Chapel Hall with a large stage and 850-seat capacity

Private Tuition:

School Productions
Scots Productions bring together acting, music, dance, design and technical production in professionally staged productions that are a highlight of the school calendar. Each year, Scots stages three musical productions involving students across the school:
• Infants Production – All Years K–2
• Junior Production – All Years 5–6
• Senior Production – Auditioned cast and crew, plus all Year 10
Scots Dance
Dance classes for all year levels are available after school through an external provider. Performance opportunities include the Senior Production, Albury Wodonga Eisteddfod, Scots Dance Annual Concert and the Wakakirri Dance Festival.
Oratory
Students in the Scots Oratory program enjoy the opportunity to develop their public speaking, critical thinking and teamwork skills. Students in Years 5-10 participate in the Australian National Virtual Debating Competition (ANVDC), where they compete online against other schools. Senior students also participate in the Albury Wodonga Eisteddfod debating section.
