Scots Skiers Train in Livigno
Over the summer break, several current and past Scots students travelled to Livigno, Italy — home of the freestyle events for the 2026 Winter Olympics — to train with The ARC Skier Development Program in preparation for the Australian winter season.
Percy (Year 5) and Gracie Ross (Year 7) along with Ardan (Year 6) and Lochan Magaharan (Year 4) joined approximately 90 young Australians for an intensive on-snow training block designed to further develop and refine their skiing.
Despite temperatures dropping as low as –26 degrees at times, Livigno delivered outstanding snow conditions and brilliant blue-sky days, creating ideal training conditions for the program. The combination of high-quality coaching, world-class facilities and consistent alpine conditions enabled all athletes to make significant progress in their technical skills and competition readiness.
Beyond performance gains, the experience also provided the opportunity to build new friendships and share in an unforgettable international training environment.
With such strong preparation already underway, it promises to be another exciting and successful season ahead for the Scots Snowsports Team.
