Girls Night In: Community, Connection and Empowerment

From Aliera Tucker (Year 12) - Social Justice Prefect

Girls Night In is a special event hosted at Scots that celebrates community, connection and empowerment among young women. Students from the Senior School were actively involved in the evening, which featured games, activities, a movie and plenty of delicious snacks — creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere where friendships were strengthened and new connections formed. Importantly, the event also supports our wider community. Attendees were encouraged to donate sanitary products, which are distributed directly to Betty's Place — a local women’s shelter supporting those impacted by domestic and family violence. Betty’s Place provides safe accommodation and essential support services for women and children in our region experiencing crisis. Through the generosity of our students and families, Girls Night In helps ensure women in need have access to essential personal care items during incredibly challenging times. By coming along and contributing, students not only strengthened connections within the Scots community but also extended compassion and practical support to those in our region who need it most.
