Welcome to Term 2 • Head of Junior School Chris Todd
I will be very excited to welcome the Year 3-6 classes to their new home on Tuesday, completing the transition to the new space for the entire Junior School. It is a significant milestone for our school and I look forward to seeing students learning, playing and settling into their new environment.
I anticipate plenty of excitement as students experience their new classrooms and the new playground for the first time.
As we begin using this new space, establishing clear routines and expectations will be important. Teachers will spend time over the coming weeks guiding students in how to use the new areas safely and respectfully.
I have sent a detailed email to all Junior School parents with information about car parking, kiss and drop, parent access and some other critical information about the start of term. Please look for it in your inbox.
For those who want a sneak peek at the new 3-6 building, there will be an opportunity on Monday.
New Year 3-6 Building Open – Community “Look & See”
Monday 20 April, 3.00-4.00pm.
All Junior School families are warmly invited to visit the new classrooms. This is an opportunity for students to explore their learning spaces, locate key facilities and enjoy the playground ahead of the first day.
Staff will be present to guide students; however, parents remain responsible for supervising their children during this time, particularly on the playground.
Kiss & Drop arrangements will be in place from Tuesday, so please view the video in this newsletter for a better understanding of how it will work.
I look forward to see many of you on Monday for the Look & See and everyone on Tuesday for the start of what promises to be a very exciting term.
