Scholarships
The Scots School Albury offers a range of Scholarships to celebrate talented individuals. We welcome interest from exceptional students entering Years 7-11 who demonstrate the qualities, potential and leadership to make a positive contribution to our community.
Currently, there are two types of Scholarships available.
• Extraordinary Year 11 2027 Scholarships for new students wishing to enter Year 11 in 2027 only, and
• 2028 Scholarships being offered to exceptional students wishing to enter Years 7-11 in 2028
Extraordinary Year 11 2027 Scholarships
The Scots School Albury is pleased to offer a unique scholarship opportunity for new students entering Year 11 in 2027. For the first time, a limited number of Academic Scholarships for young men and women, and Girls Boarding Scholarships for young women, will be available to outstanding applicants who demonstrate academic potential, strong character, leadership qualities and a genuine desire to contribute positively to the Scots community.
Eligibility: These scholarships are available only to students who are not currently enrolled at The Scots School Albury and who will commence as new students in Year 11, 2027. The Girls Boarding Scholarship is available only to new female boarding students entering Year 11 in 2027.
Extraordinary Year 11 2027 Academic Scholarships
Available to new male and female students entering Year 11 in 2027 who demonstrate outstanding academic achievement through their school reports, NAPLAN results and submitted portfolio. Successful applicants will receive partial remission of tuition through to the completion of Year 12 in 2028, providing an exceptional opportunity to complete their senior education within a supportive and enriching learning environment.
The Scots School Albury was again the region's highest-performing HSC school in 2025. Scholarships will be awarded to students who not only demonstrate academic ability and promise, but who also will embrace the values, culture and opportunities that make The Scots School Albury such a special community.
Extraordinary Year 11 2027 Girls Boarding Scholarships
Available exclusively to new female students entering Year 11 in 2027 as boarders who will make a significant contribution to the Boarding community and broader life of the School. Successful applicants will receive partial remission of boarding fees through to the completion of Year 12 in 2028, providing an exceptional opportunity to complete their senior education within a supportive and enriching learning environment.
Scholarships will be awarded to students who not only demonstrate a commitment to their studies, but who also will embrace the values, culture and opportunities that make The Scots School Albury Boarding Houses such a special community.
Application Process for Extraordinary Year 11 2027 Scholarships • 2-steps to complete
1. Complete the Enrolment Application Form and pay the $200 non-refundable Enrolment Application Fee - The Scots School Albury • Enrolment Application
2. Complete the Scholarship Application Form including submission of student portfolio, student reports, NAPLAN results, handwritten cover letter and reference letter/s - The Scots School Albury • Extraordinary Year 11 2027 Scholarship Application Form
Candidates in the Extraordinary Year 11 2027 Academic and Girls Boarding Scholarships will be shortlisted based on their application, with interviews conducted for shortlisted applicants only. Applicants will be assessed on their interview, submitted portfolio and school reports. All scholarships are awarded at the discretion of the Principal.

2028 Scholarships
2028 Scholarships are now OPEN.
We welcome applications from exceptional students entering Years 7-11 in 2028. Scholarships provide partial remission in tuition fees or boarding fees for the duration of schooling at Scots.
Key Dates:
- Academic Scholarship Exam • Saturday 17 October 2026 at 10am. All applicants must sit the academic scholarship exam on this date and on-site at The Scots School Albury.
- Auditions where required (by invitation only) • November 2026
- Scholarship Interview (by invitation only) • November 2026
- 2028 Scholarship outcomes • communicated to applicants December 2026

Scholarship Programs:
Fide et Literis Scholarships are intended for students who are high-achieving, well-rounded, self-motivated leaders who will make a significant positive contribution to the Scots community, and are awarded across Academic, Creative Arts, Music, Sports and Boarding categories:
- Academic - based on exceptional results in the academic scholarship exam
- Creative Arts - awarded to students who demonstrate an exceptional level of achievement and involvement in their chosen activity
- Music - awarded to students showing exceptional skill in the area of voice, instrument or music composition
- Sports - awarded to exceptional athletes with a minimum of State level results
- Boarding - awarded to talented all-rounders who will make a significant contribution to the Boarding Community

Means-Tested Academic Scholarship - acknowledging the considerable investment in a Scots education, we are proud to offer scholarships that take into account the personal and financial situations of families as shared during the scholarship application process.
Means-Tested Academic Scholarships are offered based on the achievement of excellent results in the academic scholarship examination, school reports and an interview. They are awarded to students who would not otherwise be able to experience a Scots education and are means-tested.

Access Scholarships offer talented Indigenous and refugee students the opportunity to attend and/or board at Scots and embrace their educational experience with the support of the School’s outstanding teaching facilities, programs and co-curricular opportunities. The value of an Access Scholarship may include a discount on annual tuition and/or boarding fees. The final level of award is determined based on the needs of the individual applicant, their portfolio and an interview.

- Register online for the Academic Scholarship Exam ($140 non-refundable ACER fee)
